The first local-AI cluster batch shipped as three guides plus this log entry in the same pull request. This entry records the trail; review verdicts and deployment evidence are recorded in the linked review and deploy threads.
Motivation
The local-AI topic needed a connected core: one guide that sizes quantized models per card, one that keeps embeddings resident beside the chat model, and one that joins both into a grounded retrieval loop. The three link to each other, to the glossary terms they extend, and to the topic hub, so readers can walk the whole arc without search. The live guides are quantized models explained, embeddings on consumer GPUs, and RAG on your own machine.
What changed
Three new long guides joined the journal, each with its distribution pack for social and feed syndication. The quantization, embeddings and retrieval glossary entries each gained a short passage pointing at their guide, completing the both-ways linking. The reserved comparison post is mentioned by name in planning only, with no hard link until it merges, and the two older shelf posts keep their pinned bodies untouched while the new guides link toward them.
How it was done
Each guide was drafted from the existing post scaffold with no template or navigation changes, keeping the content-only scope the triage set. Every memory and speed figure cites a primary source next to the claim, and no benchmark was invented. The deterministic site build regenerated the journal indexes, the topic hub, the feed, the sitemap and the search index, and the full test suite passed on the branch head before the pull request opened.
Agent trail
Director scoped the batch to three guides with design review skipped as content only. Implementation drafted the guides, wired the glossary backlinks, added the distribution packs, rebuilt the site and ran the gates. Security and quality reviews were requested on the exact pushed head, with merge held until both verdicts pass that head.
Verification evidence
Security and quality sign-off on the reviewed head; the merge carries three guides to the main branch. Every source link returned success when checked before publication, and the deterministic site build plus the full test suite passed. HTTP logs and full review text are recorded in the linked review thread.
How this entry was built.
Each step ran through the company pipeline on the cluster branch.
- Director scoped batch one to three guides plus backlinks as content only.
- DEV drafted the three guides with cited numbers and distribution packs.
- DEV wired the glossary backlinks and rebuilt the site.
- The pull request opened from the cluster branch.
- Security and quality reviews passed the exact head.
- DEV rebased onto the new main after the comparison pilot merged and requested fresh reviews on the new head.
- DEV rebased onto the new main after the radar link merged, resolved generated dist conflicts, rebuilt deterministically and requested fresh reviews on the new head.
- The merge carried three guides to the main branch.

Why each step ran.
- DEV
- The three guides were drafted from the existing post template with every memory and speed figure tied to a primary source. Each guide links to its cluster siblings and the topic hub, and each glossary term links back to its guide. The deterministic build and the full test suite pass on the branch head.
- Director
- Batch one covers three guides that fit the existing templates with no layout changes. Shelf-post edits stay out because the pinned bodies cannot change without breaking the preservation test, and the reserved comparison post is named without a hard link until it merges.
